MUST-VISIT RESTAURANTS IN THE HILLS SHIRE

During our travels around the Hills Shire, we continually stumble upon high-quality restaurants doing brilliant things with food.

And because we are all about celebrating such places, we’ve created a list of five venues that simply blew us away. They’re each in the heart of the Hills Shire and are ideal for your next evening out.

MYBELLA ASIAN | 7 IRVINE PLACE, BELLA VISTA

The minute you step into the beautifully furnished Mybella Asian in Bella Vista, you know you’re in for a quality dining experience.

The menu is designed by chefs Harry, Ivan, and Stanley who between them have an incalculable amount of industry experience. Having learnt from the best, you’ll likely find the chefs in their prime as they serve up complex Asian flavours with a modern twist.

We loved their shareable dishes including the duck pancake, char kway teo, yellow curry, and other Asian favourites which have each been creatively reinvented. Their famous fried ice cream is an absolute must-try signature dish to top off your meal.

From their décor and wine list to their delectable dishes, Mybella Asian screams quality and consideration. This is the kind of restaurant that will leave you full, happy, and ready to return.

SIRCULO | 3 WARD PLACE, DURAL

Another hidden gem in the Hills is Sirculo in Dural. We sat down for dinner and were impressed by the delicate and unique flavour combinations.

Each dish is so carefully thought through, with each flavour and ingredient serving a clear purpose. Their three dips were packed with an impossible amount of flavour, and perfectly accompanied with their sommelier’s wine pairing.

All the mains are thoughtfully designed to reflect the classic Mediterranean style, with a modern twist. We loved the friendly service and sage themed interiors that made for a well-aligned experience.

LA BOUCHERIE | 3, OLD NORTHERN ROAD BAULKHAM HILLS

Authentic cooking and passionate service go hand in hand and that’s just what you’ll find at La Boucherie in the heart of Baulkham Hills. This cosy French restaurant boasts a beautiful menu crafted by their dedicated head chef who has perfected the traditional flavours and techniques using locally sourced produce.

La Boucherie means butcher’s shop in French so naturally you will want to try their incredibly succulent steaks. Yet, their menu is extensively French and we recommend trying ‘The Ultimate’ – which is wood fire bone marrow topped with tartare or escargot. For French classics and customer favourites, try their aged duck breast, roasted cauliflower, and crème caramel which are each packed with flavour. We know we will be back for more.

THE MEAT & WINE CO. | 11 SOLENT CIRCUIT, BAULKHAM HILLS

One of Sydney’s most popular South African restaurants has found its home in the heart of the Hills shire. Meat & Wine Co. in Norwest is all about good and flavourful meat. Pair an aged steak with a hand-selected wine and enjoy this iconic flavour combination in the comfort of a slick afro-themed dining environment or choose your favourite cut of steak grilled to whatever you call perfection.

We loved their cheese & wine pairings too, which added another layer of quality to this dinner.

SARINO'S | 36 BROOKHOLLOW AVENUE, BAULKHAM HILLS

Located in a restored church built in 1861, this bar and restaurant is a unique space to enjoy good food, drink, and company. It’s tucked away from the main road, perfectly situated for a relaxed evening.

You’ll enter through the old church doors and immediately be welcomed by a two-level dining space, moodily lit to showcase the 1800s architecture. Sitting upstairs, the designers have done a great job converting the church space into a large dining area that retains its heritage charm. Enjoy a meal and a few drinks from the mezzanine level which looks down to the floor level – surrounded by the beautifully restored wooden floors and beams. A must-see and do.

Wherever we visit in the WEST, we find hard working, passionate people cooking up incredible food. The Hills Shire has so many stand-out restaurants that it’s well worth visiting again and again.
