The NSW government has launched their Dine & Discover initiative which is set to support local dining, arts and tourism businesses while also helping to encourage the community to get out and about in our post COVID world.
All NSW residence over the age of 18 years will be presented with four $25 vouchers which will be accessible via the Service NSW App.
Two of the $25 vouchers are to be used for eating in at restaurants, cafes, bars, wineries, pubs and clubs.
Two of the $25 vouchers to be used for entertainment and recreation, including cultural institutions, live music, and arts venue.
Business Eligibility
For your business to be eligible to work with the voucher program, you must:
Have an active ABN and be registered for GST – ensure your details are correct on the Australian Business Register before registering
Operate within NSW
Be registered as COVID Safe and have a COVID-19 Safety Plan
Operate in one of the eligible industries:
o Cafes and Restaurants
o Pubs, taverns, wineries, bars, and clubs
o Scenic and sightseeing transport
o Cinemas
o Museums, galleries, and historic sites
o Zoos, botanic gardens, wildlife parks and nature reserves
o Performing arts operations, theatres, and entertainment centres
o Amusement, theme, and water parks.
o Recreational activities such as go-karting, indoor climbing, mini-fold, billiards.
o Outdoor adventures
o Travel agencies and tours.
Businesses can only redeem Dine & Discover NSW vouchers used for eligible activities:
Dine NSW Vouchers – by customers seated at your business for a dine-in meal.
Discover NSW Vouchers – for eligible art, tourism or recreational activities listen in the eligible industries above. These may be redeemed online for a physical event or attraction.
Businesses cannot redeem vouchers for:
Products or services involving alcohol, gambling, or tobacco.
Cash, even if the full value of the voucher is not redeemed.
Online-only services, takeaway and food delivery orders.
Other Important Information
Dine NSW Vouchers are only Valid Mondays to Thursdays (excluding public holidays)
Discover NSW Vouchers can be used any day of the week.
The vouchers are redeemable through a QR Code, accessible via the Service NSW App.
If the bill is less than $25, the customer doesn’t receive the leftover amount, nor does your business. For example, if a customer spends $20, only $20 can be redeemed against the voucher. The remaining $5 is forfeited by both the business and the customer.
